The consorts of Hindu triad are also to be found in a corresponding female triad. These are Saraswati, Lakshmi and Parvati. Saraswati is the daughter  of Brahma and is the goddess of learning. Lakshmi is the consort of Vishnu, a symbol of beauty and prosperity. She was  reborn as Vishnu's consort in each of his incarnations as Kamala or Padma, Dharni, Vamini, Santan Lakshmi, Sita and Radha.  Parvati is the consort of Siva. She is also called Mahadevi. She combines in herself the ancestry of the great mother goddess of pre Aryan times as also her exalted position as Siva's consort, where she is known as his shakti or female energy. For each of her role in vanquishing evil she has a different name such as Sati, Parvati, Durga, Kali etc.
